My Annual Credit Report

Where do I get my annual credit report? I am sitting here thinking to myself why people even bother getting their annual credit report.

After all, most people these days are only into instant gratification.

On payday these people usually go buy something on sale.

Tax refunds are only for buying huge flat screen TVs, a few lobster tails and smartphones for the whole family.

Or worse yet, they blow their whole tax refund at the casino.

Lather, rinse and repeat until the money is long gone.

Do you remember a bit I wrote in recent blog post on what people buy on payday?

Look…

On payday the poor by stuff.

They usually buy this stuff because it’s on sale. They find this stuff at the dollar store, clearance racks and at rummage sales.

Their homes are full of this stuff. They buy it because it makes them feel good and it’s all they can afford.

Stuff is all they will ever have. Money comes in and money goes out.

The poor never get ahead financially with this mindset.

The middle class
are not much different, they just buy bigger stuff.

On payday the middle class pay for big houses. They buy cars, boats, jetskis, the latest high-tech devices and more.

Just like the poor, money comes in and money goes out. The middle class will never get ahead financially with this mindset.

What the rich do with their money on payday keeps them rich, they buy assets.

Assets are things that gain in value or create an income. The rich invest their money in real estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, gold and silver bullion.

They also invest their money in businesses and continuing education. With this mindset, the rich become richer each and every payday.

Current Precious Metal Prices

For over 5000 years gold and silver have been recognized as real money. It is an investment which has an intrinsic value that you can hold in your hand. With current precious metal prices being so low, gold and silver is a popular way of storing wealth. They are commonly used as industrial metals, mostly for electronics.

Even a small percentage of precious metals in a given financial portfolio will reduce the volatility and risk of the investment.

Experts recommend that a easy way for building wealth is by paying yourself first. And that investing in precious metals is a great way for you to reach your financial goals. We suggest you invest in 1 oz, 5 oz, or 10 oz silver bullion every payday. Everyone should keep around 10-20% of their assets in precious metals like gold and silver.

Being that gold and silver are liquid and easy to sell, down the road when prices are on the rise, you will be in a great financial position that others could only dream of. If you are not sure where you stand financially today, visit the Annual Free Credit Report home page and get today’s copy of your credit report.

The Current Precious Metal Prices (Update Each Minute)

You may take ownership of precious metals by driving down to the local coin shop or pawn store. But the easiest way is to buy online from popular bullion dealers. In most cases you won’t pay sales tax and have the added saving of free shipping.

Look:

Some of the bullion dealers we have bought metals from and recommend are:

  • Apmex
  • Silvertowne
  • JM Bullion
  • Provident Metals
  • Gainesville Coins

These companies all have quick shipping and great customer service. Whether you buy from these deals or others, get started today and take advantage of the current precious metal prices!

Credit Card Skimmers Hidden In Gas Pumps

As if we didn’t have enough in the world to be worried about, now be have to be concerned every time we go and get gas. To the naked eye they are undetectable, but now credit card skimmers hidden in gas pumps may be collecting and storing your credit card and PIN numbers. The bad guys then return at a later time to get the stolen information or gather it real time via Bluetooth from inside a nearby car.

Apparently the thieves open the gas pump and piggy-back the scanner onto the pump’s regular card reader. There is nothing on the outside of the pump to give this scheme away.

The easiest and fastest way to combat this problem is for gas station owners to place security tape over keyholes and places where the gas pump can be opened up. Any sign of a torn tape or a tape that shows signs of tampering should tell the consumer to either pay with cash or to go someplace else.

For further protection, you should never use a debit card at a gas pump. Debit cards take the money directly out of your checking account. Always use a credit card with a very low limit. Most credit cards have fraud protection while debit cards do not.

Also, get in the habit of checking your statements looking for anything suspicious. If you find any fraudulent charges call your bank and the police.

Credit Card Skimmers Hidden In Gas Pumps To Do List:

  • You can’t know for sure if a gas pump has a credit card skimmer or not.
  • Get used to paying inside at the gas station rather than at the pump. You need to buy tonight’s Lotto ticket anyways.
  • Never pay with your debit card.  It’s easier to dispute the charges with your credit card.
  • Only use cards with a chip reader.
  • Check your bank statements regularly. If you notice fraudulent activity notify your bank.
  • If your a victim of fraud, file a timely police report.

Be sure to get a copy of your credit report as well.

Free Credit Report Gov

You have the right to a free credit report from the free credit report gov website. It is the only authorized source under federal law. You may request your annual free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three consumer reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

It is completely up to you if you wish to order all three credit reports at the same time. Or possibly ordering one now and the others later. The advantage of ordering all three credit reports at the same time is that you will be able to compare them. Then you would not be eligible for another free credit report for another 12 months.

The advantage of ordering one now and others later. One credit report every four months for example. Is that you could keep track of any changes or new information that appears on your annual free credit report. So if you request yours from only one credit agency today you can still request from the other two at a later date. That way, you will have access to your updated credit report every four months throughout the year. You may visit the annualcreditreport.com website or call them directly at 877-322-8228 for additional information.
